DAY 6, JUNE 24TH, 2019
We got an early jump leaving from Nellis AFB. Today we only drove 210 miles to Beaver Canyon RV Park in Beaver, Utah.
We arrived around noon. As it turned out, the original campground we had reservations for, had to be cancelled. When we put the address in our GPS for the campground, we noticed it was located in Bryce Canyon National Park, some 150 miles out of our way. Upon further research, I found out that our camping app had a Beaver, Utah mailing address even though the park was located some 150 miles away. When we called the park, expecting no refund because it was less than 24hrs; they totally understood, and gave us a refund ~ less a $10.00 fee. We then we arrived at Beaver Canyon RV Park, we got the last site available. God is good and He’s also a camper too boot!!
Tomorrow on to Hill AFB, should take us about 4 hrs. for 227 miles. Gas prices have been running around $3.20 – $3.30/gal. Diesel however, is about 20-30 cents cheaper than regular. C’est la vie!!
