DISCOVERING NELLIS AFB

A LOVELY COUPLE AT NELLIS AFB MAIN GATE

DAY 5 ~ JUNE 23^RD, 2019

Yesterday was a bust! We didn’t want to do anything and ……. we didn’t!! Today however, we went to Our Lady of the Skies Chapel on base for Mass. From there we went to Walmart to get a few additional items needed. Then heading back to the air base for a final gas up for tomorrows departure.

While on base, we found “Red Flag”, the Air Force’s equivalent to the Navy’s “Top Gun”. Being Sunday however, no planes were to be seen. Everything was locked up tighter than a drum. The Thunderbirds are out on tour doing their Air Shows, one of which, they will be doing at Warren AFB in Cheyenne on the 24^th of July during the States Frontier Day’s Celebration. Will have a ring side seat and won’ even have to leave our RV. We’ll be there from July 12 to the 26^th.

Tomorrow, we again hit the road around 0800 give or take an hour or so, to Beaver, Utah for an overnight stay. It will be a rather short drive of only 214 miles, so we’re not in any rush. So, until tomorrow. Many blessings to all!!
